1.
i wish for one second you'd stop beaming it wraps around my neck stops my breathing halt, auspicious flip my intuition is freezing stop and pack your stuff we're metaphorically leaving
2.
what's that creepin in the back of your permanency it persists even if you dot your i's and cross your t's your heaven is a holding cell you hide behind your weary eyes and settle in the roasting guilt of a fire that you didnt light
3.
you've got your four year old keyboard your dining chair you're dispensing misery but you don't care but someone watches you someone watches you over there (move) but you don't know you don't know that they're there cuz if you did if you did it wouldnt be fair cuz you'd just run you'd just run over there give up your 40 year ego there's nothing there and if you'd stop for a moment and sew up your tears but something tricks you something has it out for you you're in the dark in the dark, and you don't know what to do well that's just fine that's just fine with you cuz even in light time flew
4.
inside you there's a warden that you call upon a steady pace, to keep the calm hope its not a man or drunk on the job but that's likely temptation like a saddle that you ride upon the schism in you splits just like an atom bomb tearing up your soul and with it all your love and thats fine you're settled cuz it isnt in that different part of your town and it takes a clown to pull it all out but nobody can stop you cuz you arent real even if we tried we couldnt turn the wheel an inch close to what it really is but thats life
5.
you've gone far with automatics, automation your hands they're so gone from your mind that it's forgotten to you and life goes by fast for you and it oughta do when you slide through time with no reflection and a hoggish impasse but that's all fine the answer goes where the question takes it
6.
i've stopped reading the words on the screen my time on rotary, arresting me over the hill you might fall out, you will see it's good for you now, it wont always be under the bridge over the hill
7.
the end 01:56
it'd be nice to settle down not like a wife like a coil unwound it'd be good to see the end to watch the sun pulse it's last breath

about

short version:

tiny world theory is the name i am giving to the metaphysics concept that everything exists on an infinitely scaling fractal 'system' that has no beginning and no end, basically its like horton hears a who forever, this concept is what this little demo EP orbits around.

voices of: Prof Russel Stannard, Kristin Hersh, Allan Watts, Kathleen Hanna, Wendy Carlos, David Butler, darkroom tutors, sandy from a double8 workshop, me, strangers.

other samples, field recordings are all my own such as:

cameras as percussion, assorted voices sampled from random youtube videos, 6 different airports, assorted voices recorded while walking around downtown, shortwave radio surfing, various weathers, ambiences, the sounds of cameras working, workshops, friends, family and telemetry data.

thanku for listening

long version:

in this concept, the smallest particle in any given system would also simultaniously be the largest particle in any system, it just depends where on the scale you are to percieve it. the sun would be a particle, so would the earth, and so would you. rendering size effectively meaningless and purely subjective. in this concept, if you zoomed in on a grain of sand forever with no physics limitations you would find another universe, this cycle will go on for as long as you keep zooming, universe, grain of sand, universe, and so on.

there are no strings, bubbles or flat dimensional planes, perception of time is subjective already, but in this concept perception of time is the only time that time exists within. objectively and beyond perception everything would be happening at once and time would only exist for those who exist to perceive it, and even that would be limited and funnelled through their perceptive limits.

we often in science *imagine* time like a linear A - B travel (e.g 1989 > 2023, you cannot unscramble an egg) but in tiny world theory it's only a linear A - B travel through our perception, in reality there is no A and no B, there is no travel. everything exists all in the same instant and the "movement" of time - even on exterior objects that we interact with - is just us percieving movement in a timeless system, this does not mean you can travel back in time or manipulate it in any way, it means that your perception of it, is neccesary for time to exist or have meaning, its very human to assume externally the universe needs conventional time for things to move or be created. given that the universe is not following our subjective, human rules of the flow of time, which very much rely entirely on our perception.

this concept analogised: the universe could be like a video that is running at an infinite frames per second, and the only way to view the things happening in that infinity "video" would be to slow it down to a human digestible FPS, like that of our eyes and the processing power of our brains (perception) do not mistake this video for being very fast, it is infinite, you cannot even measure its FPS, "slowing" it down isnt something you can do, its your natural biological limit, you cannot even imagine a video that runs at an infinite FPS because you can't imagine anything being unbound from your human, linear understanding of time, nobody can. just goes to show how limited our perception is.

this idea, like a lot of metaphysics ideas, is totally unproveable, completely fantastical and crazy within our understanding of physics, but given how unstable quantum physics is, it's not *disproveable* but it is at its core a metaphysical question and so like pretty much all big metaphysical questions it is fundamentally unanswerable by modern physics and our perception, or at all really.

we are, and will always be, dimensionally, proportionally and time-locked in this mystery, so nothing is off the table.

this EP is all about this idea, and i also littered it with excerpts from our tiny world, or our massive world depending on where u are.
